A Visit to a Sheep Farm

It is the middle of lambing season.  We were lucky to be invited to Johanna's sheep farm to meet the new born lambs. Most of the lambs are twins and even some triplets. In another month, all the flock will be moved to the highlands where they will graze until fall. In November they will all be sheared and some sheep will be sold before winter. The lamb fleece is the most desirable for becoming yarn and for hand spinning.

This little motherless lamb stole all our hearts and there was talk of bringing him back with us. Juri was especially happy to meet him.
