Arrival at the Textile Center

After a four hour bus ride from Reykjavik, I arrived in the small town of Blonduos. I will be spending the month of May in residency at the Textile Center.  The first day has been spent settling in and getting to know our fellow artists. Projects are being designed and begun. 

Our studio overlooks both the Blanda River and the ocean. It is a good place for watching the birds. We see mountains in many directions from here and there is snow on many of them.  We are able to see the peaks of the Westfjords from here.  I have landed in a beautiful spot.
